Environment and sustainability are important to EPT for our organisation and our clients. Both are instrumental to our move towards Net Zero. Our commitment is also highlighted by the time and effort we put into our ISO14001 Environmental policy. A great part of our work involves helping clients toward their own Net Zero targeting too.

EPT’s Environmental Management policy is maintained by our Quality Team. However the whole company contributes to its content and application to our daily operations. The Quality Manager acts as EPT’s Net Zero champion. However for EPT, net zero is a strategic effort that is driven from senior management and encouraged in the attitude of all staff. We are particularly proud that UKAS Management Systems are recognised for their stringent and professional approach in ISO14001 approval.

Net Zero – Driving EPT’s Strategic Decisions

A key driver to EPT opening its satellite office in Bury was to reduce essential vehicle mileage to work and client sites in the North of Greater Manchester. The benefits are further enhanced by the regular maintenance and renewal of our van fleet. The introduction of electric vehicles to our company has also been a recent addition.

Environment and sustainability are considered across all of EPT’s service areas. Selected aspects of how we apply them are mentioned below.

Air Conditioning and Ventilation

Of course we also have a responsibility to all of our clients and their properties too. One such examples is our knowledge on refrigerants in the HVAC area. It’s not just about implementing the right equipment and reusables. It’s also about careful maintenance. That not only helps the environment but helps save on costs.

Electrical Services

Saving energy and costs without compromising site users features significantly in the design of client lighting systems. Form the bulb technology to motion sensitive monitors. We aim to help the environment and our clients simultaneously.

Building Fabric Services

Whether its insulation in winter or keeping a building cool in summer, the importance of environment and sustainability is integral to EPT’s approach. We are often involved in care home work and schools from special needs to universities and anywhere in-between. It’s all about providing an ideal environment as well as looking after utility bills of a property.

Heating, Hot water & Plumbin

All are provided by our Mechanical Engineering Services. Often working in coordination with other services to meet comprehensive environment and sustainability needs. Planned maintenance of equipment is essential in providing efficient services and a healthy living or working environment. Our certifications and accreditations provide trust to our clients and a structured safe and environmentally approach by our staff.

Supporting Environment & Sustainability

After learning a number of our colleagues have personal member ships of the Woodland Trust, EPT decided to see what we could do as an environmentally conscious organisation. We found that we can help through a corporate member ship of a further organisation Woodland Heritage. It’s just one token of our efforts to help the planet up and above what we do with out workforce and resources as well as in the line of our client work.
